The weather scrapped several shows and even more outfits at New York Fashion Week this past Friday. I too threw out all notions of wearing a skirt in a blizzard and instead opted for tossing together every single one of the warmest pieces in my suitcase. This included a mix of faux fur and leather upon leather (upon leather), making the trek from hotel to cab to Rebecca Minkoff a survivable experience. My other strategic addition was a collection of several small heating pads tucked beneath my coat - quite easily the most essential accessories of all.
